Near-Earth asteroids and planetary defence in focus at Europlanet Science Congress (EPSC2026)

Where do the asteroids that pass close to Earth come from, and what makes their orbits change over time? These are among the questions that ARAID researcher Bojan Novaković will address at EPSC2026, taking place from 6 to 11 September in The Hague, The Netherlands. In two talks, he will present research on the origin and orbital evolution of near-Earth asteroids, objects important for understanding the history of the Solar System and for planetary defence.

Archaeological campaign at El Forau de la Tuta concludes with significant new discoveries

The sixth excavation campaign at the Roman site of El Forau de la Tuta, in Artieda (Zaragoza, Spain), has concluded with important advances in the understanding of the settlement. Among the most notable findings are an additional 40 m² of Roman mosaic in an excellent state of preservation and new structures associated with the thermal complex documented in previous campaigns.

Researcher Jesús Martínez de la Fuente has been awarded the Juan de la Cierva National Research Award, one of Spain’s most prestigious scientific distinctions. ARAID updates its Statutes to boost innovation and knowledge transfer

ARAID’s Board of Trustees has approved an amendment to the Foundation’s Statutes, adapting its operation to the current regional regulations and strengthening its role as an implementing agent of the Aragonese R&I System. The update introduces new tools to foster innovation, knowledge transfer and collaboration with the productive sector.
