Cookies policy
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small piece of data (text file) that a website, when visited by a user, asks the browser to store on the user’s device in order to remember information about you, such as, for example, language preferences or login details. These cookies are set by us and are called first party cookies. We also use third party cookies, which are cookies from a domain different from the domain of the website being visited, for our advertising and marketing studies. The specific uses we make of these technologies are described below.
What types of cookies exist?
According to the entity that manages them:
First Party cookies: these are cookies that are sent to the user’s terminal device from a server or domain managed by the publisher itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
Third Party cookies: these are cookies that are sent to the user’s terminal device from a server or domain that is not managed by the publisher, but by another entity that processes the data obtained through cookies, or cookies installed from a server or domain managed by the publisher itself, but where the information collected is managed by a third party. In this case, external social media cookies are used, which are used to allow visitors to interact with content from different social platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and which are generated only for users of those social networks. The conditions of use of these cookies and the information collected are governed by the privacy policy of the corresponding social media platform.
According to the length of time they remain active:
Persistent cookies: these are stored on the hard drive and our website reads them each time you make a new visit. A persistent cookie has a specific expiration date. The cookie will stop working after that date.
Session cookies: these are temporary cookies that remain in your browser’s cookie file until you leave the website, so none are stored on the user’s hard drive. The information obtained through these cookies is used to analyze traffic patterns on the website. In the long term, this allows us to provide a better experience by improving the content and making it easier to use.
According to their purpose:
Technical cookies: these are cookies that allow the user to browse through a website, platform or application and use the different options or services available therein, such as, for example, controlling traffic and data communication, identifying the session, accessing restricted‑access areas, remembering the elements that make up an order, carrying out the purchasing process of an order, submitting an application for registration or participation in an event, using security features while browsing, storing content for the dissemination of video or audio, or sharing content through social networks.
Analytics cookies: these are cookies that allow the party responsible for them to track and analyze the behavior of users of the websites to which they are linked. The information collected through this type of cookies is used to measure the activity of websites, applications or platforms and to create browsing profiles of users of said websites, applications and platforms, in order to introduce improvements based on the analysis of usage data carried out by users of the service.
Personalization cookies: these are cookies that allow the user to access the service with some predefined general characteristics based on a series of criteria on the user’s terminal, such as, for example, the language, the type of browser through which the user accesses the service, the regional configuration from where the user accesses the service, etc.
Advertising cookies: these are cookies that allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of the advertising spaces that, where applicable, the publisher has included on a website, application or platform from which the requested service is provided, based on criteria such as the edited content or the frequency with which advertisements are displayed.
Behavioral advertising cookies: these are cookies that allow the management, in the most efficient way possible, of the advertising spaces that, where applicable, the publisher has included on a website, application or platform from which the requested service is provided. These cookies store information on users’ behavior obtained through the continuous observation of their browsing habits, which makes it possible to develop a specific profile in order to display advertising based on it.
