Resolution of the ARAID 2025 International Call

The Aragonese Agency for Research and Development Foundation (ARAID) has resolved its 2025 international call for the recruitment of excellent researchers to join Aragón.
The Board of Trustees of this entity, attached to the Department of Employment, Science, and Universities, in its session 3/2025, on July 17, has agreed to hire nine new ARAID researchers
to develop their scientific careers in Aragón and contribute to strengthening R&D&I in our region.

A total of 42 applications were received for the 2025 call, from twenty centers in the region, with a 31% female participation and a high proportion of international applications from researchers
working outside Aragón or Spain who aspire to work in Aragón.

After the external selection process and interviews, twenty job offers were sent, of which nine researchers will be hired in different knowledge areas and
research centers as detailed below:

• Bojan Novakovic - Host institution: Fundación Centro de Estudios de Física del Cosmos de Aragón (CEFCA) - Knowledge area: Space and matter technologies
• Borja Antonio Espejo - Host institution: Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, Estación Experimental de Aula Dei (EEAD-CSIC) - Knowledge area: Computer science, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity
• Carlos Álvarez - Host institution: Universidad de Zaragoza, Instituto Universitario de Investigación Mixto Agroalimentario de Aragón (IA2, UZ) - Knowledge area: Biotechnology and agro-food technologies
• Carlos Anerillas - Host institution: Instituto Aragonés de Ciencias de la Salud (IACS) - Knowledge area: Medical technologies and advanced therapies
• Daofeng Mei - Host institution: Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, Instituto de Carboquímica (ICB-CSIC) - Knowledge area: Industrial decarbonization and energy transition
• Javier Fernández Pato - Host institution: Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, Estación Experimental de Aula Dei (EEAD-CSIC) - Knowledge area: Computer science, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity
• Mónica Marro - Host institution: Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, Instituto de Nanociencia y Materiales de Aragón (INMA - CSIC) - Knowledge area: Quantum technologies, photonics, and microelectronics
• Samrana Kazim - Host institution: Universidad de Zaragoza, Instituto Universitario de Investigación en Ingeniería de Aragón (I3A-UZ) - Knowledge area: Quantum technologies, photonics, and microelectronics
• Sergio José Sanabria - Host institution: Universidad de Zaragoza, Instituto Universitario de Investigación en Ingeniería de Aragón (I3A-UZ) - Knowledge area: Medical technologies and advanced therapies
