Participation in the Antibiotics Congress 2026

Laura Espina, ARAID researcher at the Agro-Food Institute of Aragon (IA2), participated in the international conference Antibiotics 2026 with the presentation of an oral communication, in which she presented the projects and methodological approaches she is developing to study the transmission of antibiotic resistance along the food chain.

During her presentation, Laura Espina outlined the lines of research carried out at the IA2, focused on analysing how antimicrobial resistance can emerge and spread across the different stages of the food chain, a key challenge for both food safety and public health.

The Antibiotics 2026 conference, organised within the SciForum platform, brings together researchers and scientific professionals to address current challenges related to antibiotic use, the emergence of resistance, and the development of new research and control strategies.

ARAID's participation, through the IA2, in international forums of this kind helps to strengthen the visibility of research carried out in Aragon and its contribution to one of the major scientific and public health challenges at a global level.
