Manuel Montiel y Miguel Hernáez take part in the ICB-CSIC Scientific Conferences
ARAID researchers Miguel Hernáez Sáenz de Záitigui and Manuel Montiel participated as speakers in the ICB-CSIC Scientific Conferences held in Zaragoza on June 16, 2026. Both presented their research on energy storage and related technologies to the scientific community.
Manuel Montiel presented his work on redox flow batteries (VRFB) and new stationary storage architectures, as well as on the recovery of metals from batteries and energy devices. His contributions focus on developing solutions aimed at improving the efficiency and sustainability of energy storage technologies, incorporating approaches related to material valorization.
Miguel Hernáez Sáenz de Záitigui, in turn, presented his work in the field of advanced sensing applied to energy storage systems, with a particular focus on the use of optical fiber sensors for monitoring batteries and devices. Both researchers also took part in the round table held as part of the event, providing a platform to discuss current challenges and foster collaboration among different stakeholders in the scientific and technological ecosystem.
The conference served as a meeting point for the scientific community, promoting knowledge exchange and the identification of collaboration opportunities in key areas such as the energy transition and sustainability, in line with ARAID’s commitment to research excellence.
