Hydroinformatics 2026 brings together international experts in water management in Zaragoza

ARAID researcher Javier Fernández Pato participated in the 16th International Conference on Hydroinformatics, held from 22 to 26 June 2026 in Zaragoza, where he was part of the Scientific Committee and presented several communications.

Hydroinformatics 2026 brought together international experts to explore the role of digital transformation in water management, with a particular focus on technologies such as artificial intelligence, data analysis and cloud computing. Conferences of this kind provide key opportunities for knowledge exchange and discussion on innovative solutions aimed at achieving more sustainable and resilient water systems.

Within the conference, Javier Fernández Pato was a member of the Scientific Committee and participated in six communications, in a programme covering topics such as urban water digitalisation, climate resilience, innovative water technologies and the water‑energy‑food nexus.

Zaragoza is thus further established as an international reference point in the field of hydroinformatics.
