The future of Forau de la Tuta took centre stage at the 6th Roman Heritage Day in Artieda

The 6th Roman Heritage Day in Artieda brought together researchers, public authorities and members of the public for a day focused on the exchange of knowledge and discussion of the future of the Roman site of Forau de la Tuta. The programme included the lecture “Management and Use of Cartagena’s Archaeological Heritage: Main Models and Milestones”, delivered by José Miguel Noguera Celdrán, Professor of Archaeology at the University of Murcia.

The event also featured the roundtable discussion “From Archaeological Site to Museum: Envisioning the Future of Forau de la Tuta”, moderated by the site's scientific team and involving representatives from the University of Zaragoza, ARAID, the Ausonius Institute of Bordeaux Montaigne University, the University of Murcia, the Directorate General for Cultural Heritage of the Government of Aragon and the Artieda Town Council. ARAID researcher Jorge Angás Pajas contributed to the organisation of the event and to the moderation of the discussion.

The initiative strengthened dialogue between the scientific community, public institutions and society, encouraging a shared reflection on the protection and enhancement of archaeological heritage. The programme concluded with a Roman-themed reception open to participants and visitors.
