European Researchers’ Night 2026 brings science to Plaza del Pilar
On 25 and 26 September, Plaza del Pilar in Zaragoza will host the 2026 European Researchers’ Night. Under the theme “Imagine Tomorrow”, citizens will have the opportunity to take part in workshops, demonstrations and outreach activities designed to bring research, innovation and scientific knowledge closer to people of all ages.
The European Researchers’ Night is an initiative celebrated simultaneously in numerous European cities with the aim of bringing science closer to society and highlighting the work carried out by researchers in different fields of knowledge.
In Zaragoza, activities will take place in the Government Delegation area of Plaza del Pilar on 25 and 26 September, offering interactive spaces, workshops and demonstrations that will allow visitors to discover first-hand how research contributes to addressing the challenges of today and tomorrow.
Under the theme “Imagine Tomorrow”, this year’s edition invites participants to reflect on the role of science in building a more sustainable, healthier and technologically advanced future, while fostering dialogue between the research community and the public.
The event also reinforces Zaragoza’s commitment to scientific outreach and the promotion of research culture, encouraging public participation in activities that make scientific knowledge more accessible.
