ARAID updates its Statutes to boost innovation and knowledge transfer
ARAID’s Board of Trustees has approved an amendment to the Foundation’s Statutes, adapting its operation to the current regional regulations and strengthening its role as an implementing agent of the Aragonese R&I System. The update introduces new tools to foster innovation, knowledge transfer and collaboration with the productive sector.
The statutory amendment provides the Foundation with a more modern and flexible legal framework to carry out its activities and respond to the current challenges of the research and innovation system in Aragón.
Among the main developments is the possibility for ARAID to create or participate in companies, foundations, consortia and other public or private knowledge-based entities, including spin-offs and start-ups. This new capacity will strengthen the transfer of research results, promote their practical application and support innovative initiatives linked to intellectual and industrial property.
The reform also includes measures aimed at improving the Foundation’s efficiency, such as updating recruitment and personnel regulations, adapting the functions of its governing bodies to current legislation, enabling the holding of online meetings and increasing administrative flexibility in day-to-day management.
With this update, ARAID further strengthens its ability to support knowledge generation, foster collaboration between universities, research centres, companies and public administrations, and contribute to the development of a more dynamic innovation ecosystem that is closely connected to the needs of society in Aragón.
