5º Encuentro de Jóvenes Investigadores en Cáncer celebrado en Calatayud (AECC)
The ARAID researcher Alejandra González Loyola participated in the 5th Young Cancer Researchers Meeting (EJIC 2026), held from 28 to 30 May in Calatayud, where she delivered two workshops at a forum aimed at predoctoral researchers from different parts of Spain.
The Young Cancer Researchers Meeting (EJIC) has become a well‑established meeting point for predoctoral researchers, who address cancer research from diverse and complementary perspectives. In this edition, held in Calatayud, the programme combined training activities, specialised workshops and outreach initiatives designed to strengthen the development of transversal skills among participants.
During the meeting, Alejandra González led a workshop on predoctoral and postdoctoral fellowships and another on scientific writing, thus contributing to knowledge exchange and scientific reflection in an environment specifically designed for researchers at early stages of their careers.
The 2026 edition also marked the fifth anniversary of the EJIC, featuring a special programme on the final day that further reinforced the training, participatory and outreach‑oriented character of the event.
ARAID’s participation in initiatives of this kind helps to support the training of young researchers and to strengthen spaces for scientific exchange in the field of cancer research.
