The 3rd RAUS Conference addresses health from an integrative approach in Zaragoza

ARAID researcher Laura Espina Cadena organised the 3rd RAUS Conference, held on 25 June 2026 in Zaragoza, a meeting that brought together professionals from the health sector to reflect on current challenges from an integrative perspective.

The 3rd RAUS Conference, organised by the RAUS Steering Committee (Carmelo Ortega, Inmaculada Martín, Pilar Oñate and Laura Espina), focused on understanding health from a broader perspective, recognising it as a dynamic outcome of the interactions between humans, animals and their environment, including both environmental and social dimensions. Aligned with the One Health approach, the meeting highlighted the importance of addressing health challenges through a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.

This year's conference emphasised interdisciplinarity as a key strategy for advancing health management, underlining the need to integrate expertise and perspectives from different fields. Such an approach enhances the understanding of complex health issues and supports the development of more effective and sustainable solutions.

The event brought together a wide range of stakeholders from the Aragonese health ecosystem, fostering dialogue and collaboration among professionals from diverse backgrounds. Laura Espina presented the RAUS Cartography Platform, a tool designed to facilitate networking and collaboration among professionals working in any area related to One Health. The panel discussions and invited lectures demonstrated the strong commitment of experts from multiple disciplines to addressing today's health challenges through a holistic approach. This collaborative environment promotes new opportunities for interdisciplinary networking and innovation, which are essential for tackling current and future public health challenges.
