Stable isotopes for the study of plant water uptake and transport

In this talk, I will present the theory and methods used to trace the origin of water used by plants, including some case studies: 1) on the study of tree-to-tree interaction in mixed oak-pine forests and 2) on the uptake of crystalization from gypsum in gypsum-rich soils.
